contest for this event is Lowest Net. The prize is a sleeve of
golf balls. AEGL members who have already won a weekly contest,
haven’t paid their dues by August 27 or don’t have an
established League handicap are ineligible to win the contest.....more

Rick Biehl won the Event #22 contest (Fewest Putts) with 12 putts and was awarded a sleeve of golf balls.
Kevin Milligan won the Event #22 competition week Peoria with a Peoria net of 36. The holes from which the Peoria handicap was determined were #1, 3 and 6 or 10, 12 and 13. Kevin is the fifth competition week Peoria participant to win multiple times this season. Event #22 marks our final competition week Peoria for the season. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to the 37 participants of the competition week Peoria for the 2008 season.
The
annual League tournament will be played on Friday, August 29,
2008 at Carriage Greens. The tournament is 18 holes. Guests are
welcome. All golfers, including guests, will be eligible for
prizes on individual hole contests. Following golf, a buffet
dinner will be served and will include a two-hour open bar.
Guests may also participate in the door prize raffle after
dinner. Also after dinner, the Champion of the Year traveling
trophy will be awarded, League members will choose their prizes
based on order of finishing for the season, and League business
(election of officers) and discussions for the 2009 season will
take place. The fees for the tournament are:
$85 for Golf, riding cart, refreshments on the
course, Dinner and 2-hour open bar
$50 for Golf, riding cart and refreshments on the course
$35 for Dinner and 2-hour open bar.
